ACME Solar Inks Power Deal with NHPC for 250 MW Rajasthan Plant.

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd (ACME Solar), a prominent player in India's renewable energy sector, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited, a AAA-rated central government enterprise. This landmark agreement is for ACME Solar's 250 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project located in Rajasthan.

The PPA has been finalized at a tariff of ₹4.56 per kWh. The project is designed to deliver a minimum annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 40% and will meet 90% of the peak power requirement for four hours daily. This strategic partnership significantly enhances ACME Solar's presence in the FDRE segment and is a crucial step towards bolstering India's clean energy ambitions through an innovative combination of solar, wind, and battery storage technology.

Connectivity for the project to an ISTS substation is already established. The Honorable Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) issued the requisite approval for tariff adoption under Section 63 of the Electricity Act 2003 on June 19, 2025, in Petition number 87/AT/2025, filed by NHPC.

Following the signing of this PPA, ACME Solar's portfolio with signed PPAs now totals 5,130 MW. Of this, 2,826.2 MW is already operational, with the remaining capacity under various stages of implementation. Furthermore, the company has a confirmed pipeline of 1,840 MW for which Letters of Award (LOA) have been received. Notably, 86% of ACME Solar's overall portfolio is secured with central government enterprises, while the remaining 14% is with State discoms.
