ACME Solar Starts Operations at 142-MW Battery Energy Storage Facility in Rajasthan.

ACME Solar Holdings recently said it has commenced operations of a 142.67-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Rajasthan.

The project, which forms part of a 481.49-MWh battery energy storage unit, is connected to the operational Inter-State Transmission System, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company added that the commissioned capacity represents Phase-1 of its broader energy storage plan. “ACME Solar Holdings, through its various subsidiaries, has commissioned 142.67 MW/481.49 MWh of battery energy storage system in Phase-1 out of its total planned BESS capacity of 585 MW/2011.24 MWh,” it said.
