Acme wins 50 MW solar plants in Uttarakhand.

Solar power generator Acme has won contracts to set up 50 MW solar power plants in Uttarakhand.

Acme bagged 29 per cent of the 170-MW tender to which 97 companies had responded, according to a company statement, expanding its portfolio to 1,200 MW.

'The emergence of Acme in this bid reinstates our expertise in the solar power sector that helped us become the country's largest solar power developer with over 1-gigawatt projects under our portfolio,' Acme chairman Manoj Kumar Upadhyay said recently.

The company has an existing portfolio of about 1,150 mw, including 440 mw generation capacity in Telangana, 104 mw in Punjab, 160 mw in Andhra Pradesh and 100 mw in Rajasthan. It also has projects in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh.

Acme aims to generate 7,500-MW by 2019, according to the statement.
