Adani Group and Italy’s Leonardo Partner to Build Helicopter Manufacturing Hub in India

The Adani Group and Italian aerospace major Leonardo recently announced a strategic partnership to establish an integrated helicopter manufacturing ecosystem in India, marking a significant step towards strengthening the country’s defence manufacturing capabilities.

The collaboration is expected to provide a major boost to the Centre’s Make in India initiative and support efforts to enhance self-reliance in the defence sector. According to the companies, the proposed manufacturing ecosystem will focus on meeting domestic military requirements while reducing dependence on imports.

The partnership aims to create end-to-end capabilities in helicopter production, positioning India as a key hub for manufacturing and potentially supporting future exports as well.
