Adani Group Eyes ₹1 Lakh Crore Investment in Mumbai’s Motilal Nagar Redevelopment Project.
The Adani Group is likely to invest around ₹1 lakh crore in the redevelopment of Motilal Nagar, marking the first of a series of large-scale cluster development projects set to transform Mumbai’s urban landscape.
The initiative is part of an ambitious plan by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), which is preparing twelve cluster redevelopment projects spanning nearly 900 acres across the city. These projects aim to upgrade civic amenities for residents while unlocking significant commercial development opportunities.
The Motilal Nagar project, spread over 143 acres in Goregaon, western Mumbai, is the first to be rolled out under this scheme. The Adani Group has been appointed by MHADA as the construction and development agency for the project.
Once underway, the redevelopment is expected to serve as a blueprint for future cluster projects, potentially reshaping Mumbai’s skyline and improving living conditions for thousands of residents.
