"Adani Power has increased capacity utilization at its Godda facility and named arbitration nominees, even as electricity exports to Bangladesh remain consistent."

Adani Power Ltd’s Godda thermal power plant, which supplies electricity to Bangladesh, reported a sharp improvement in operating performance in the third quarter, with the plant load factor (PLF) rising to 68 per cent from 50 per cent a year earlier.

The 18 percentage point increase reflects higher power dispatch and improved utilisation of the plant’s capacity, the company said.

Separately, Adani Power indicated progress in the dispute resolution process related to its power supply agreement with Bangladesh. In a regulatory filing on Thursday, the company said that, during the quarter, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) had selected and appointed an expert to address reconciliation differences, following a request from Adani Power.

The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) is currently reviewing the expert appointment agreement and is expected to provide its opinion in due course, the filing added. Both Adani Power and BPDB have also nominated their representatives to interact with the expert, marking a key step forward in the arbitration process.
