Adani Power Wins 25-Year Contract to Supply 1,600 MW Thermal Power to Maharashtra.

Adani Power Ltd. recently signed a 25-year power supply agreement (PSA) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) to supply 1,600 MW of electricity from a new ultra-supercritical thermal power plant.

The agreement follows the company's receipt of a Letter of Award (LoA) from MSEDCL in March after emerging as the lowest bidder in a competitive tender with a quoted tariff of ₹5.30 per unit. Commercial power supply under the agreement is expected to commence from FY31.

As part of the pact, Adani Power will set up a 2x800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant under the design, build, finance, own and operate (DBFOO) model.

The project has also secured a domestic coal linkage under the Centre's SHAKTI policy, ensuring long-term fuel security for the proposed plant, the company said in a regulatory filing.
