AHAsolar Technologies Wins Consultancy Order for 250 MW/500 MWh BESS Project from NIRL

AHAsolar Technologies has secured a work order from NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL) to provide consultancy services for a 250 MW/500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

The tender for the project was issued in January, with the work order being awarded approximately six months later. According to a regulatory filing by NLC India Limited (NLCIL), the order covers consultancy services for NIRL’s energy projects, including a 50 MW solar project at Mine-II and a 25 MW/150 MWh BESS project at Neyveli.

The project is scheduled for completion within 18 months, as per the tender terms.

Under the scope of work, AHAsolar Technologies will serve as the Project Management Consultant (PMC), overseeing the project from planning through completion. Its responsibilities will include project planning and management, scheduling and monitoring, material inspection, support during the Defect Liability Period, and the transition to operations and maintenance.

The company will also undertake comprehensive project coordination and execution monitoring, along with quality assurance and compliance oversight. Its mandate includes ensuring adherence to environmental, social and governance (ESG) and safety requirements, as well as managing project closeout on behalf of the project owner.

AHAsolar’s Previous BESS Consultancy Order

This is not AHAsolar Technologies’ first consultancy mandate in the BESS segment. The Gujarat-based company had previously secured a work order from Coal India Limited for consultancy services related to a 187.5 MW/750 MWh BESS project.

Under that tender, AHAsolar was tasked with providing pre-award and post-award engineering consultancy services for the EPC implementation of the BESS project at the 400/220 kV Substation in Choutuppal, Telangana.

The consultancy contract, covering comprehensive services for the project, was valued at more than ₹35 lakh.

The latest order further strengthens AHAsolar Technologies’ portfolio in project management and consultancy services for large-scale battery energy storage projects in India.
