Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway Six-Laning Project to Be Completed by December.

The Gujarat government informed the state assembly on Monday that the six-laning of the Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway will be completed by December this year. Responding to a question from Rajkot MLA Darshita Shah, Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma stated that out of the 197-km stretch under the first phase, six-laning work has been completed on 193 km. The remaining work of the ₹3,350 crore project is expected to be finished by the end of the year.

Additionally, the government announced that ₹550 crore has been sanctioned for the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, which will connect the upcoming international airport at Dholera with Ahmedabad city. In response to a query from Dhandhuka MLA Kalubhai Dabhi, the government confirmed that work on the expressway is progressing as planned.
