"Airtel expands its 5G footprint, bringing faster network speeds to MP and Chhattisgarh through 2,400 new sites."
Bharti Airtel has deployed more than 2,400 new 5G sites across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh over the past 12 months, expanding high-speed network coverage to about 36 million customers across 87 districts in the two States, the company said recently.
The rollout has added an average of six new 5G sites every day, covering urban centres, fast-growing towns and rural villages. Districts that have benefited from the expansion include Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain and Sagar in Madhya Pradesh, and Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Dewas, Korba and Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh.
Ritesh Agrawal, Chief Executive Officer of Bharti Airtel for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, said the two States are strategic markets for the company. He added that the investment in network infrastructure is aimed at supporting digital services for citizens, students, micro-enterprises and government institutions.
