Aliaxis India to Invest ₹400 Crore in New Plants in Chennai, Hyderabad

Belgium-based Aliaxis’ Indian unit, Ashirvad Pipes, is set to invest ₹400 crore in two new greenfield manufacturing facilities in Chennai and Hyderabad by FY27. The expansion aims to strengthen the company’s production capabilities and market presence in India’s ₹80,000 crore pipes, fittings, and water tanks industry.

Ashirvad Pipes currently holds a 12% share in the organised sector and dominates South India with a 50% market share. The company is targeting an 18% national market share by FY27, said its CEO, Basu.

With this expansion, the company aims to grow its revenue from ₹6,500 crore in FY24 to ₹9,000 crore by FY27. A major player in CPVC pipes and water tanks, nearly half of its revenue comes from the CPVC segment.

Additionally, Ashirvad Pipes has signed an MoU with Jadavpur University for research into new molecule development. Currently, India contributes 17% to Aliaxis’ global revenue.
