Alkyl Amines Chemicals commissions solar power plant in Maharashtra.

Alkyl Amines Chemicals Ltd. on July 24, 2015 commissioned a 2-MW solar power plant in Osmanabad, Maharashtra, for generation of electricity for the company's captive use. “This investment will help the company to save electricity costs and contribute towards its efforts for sustainable green energy to protect environment,” said Alkyl Amines Chemicals in a BSE filing on July 24, 2015.

Alkyl Amines Chemicals Limited is one of the leading manufacturers of amines and amine-based chemicals, which find applications in pharmaceutical, agrochemical, rubber chemical & water treatment industries, among others.

The company has two manufacturing sites in Maharashtra - Patalganga (Raigad) and Kurkumbh (near Pune) - with 9 production plants. While Patalganga site produces methylamines & higher aliphatic amines, the company makes ethylamines, amine derivatives & specialty amines are manufactured at Kurkumbh.

In addition, Alkyl Amines Chemicals is setting up a new site at Dahej (Gujarat) to expand its amines and amines derivative capacities.
