AM Green, VOC Port Authority Join Hands for Green Fuel Bunkering Hub at Thoothukudi Port.

AM Green, one of India’s leading green hydrogen and ammonia developers, in partnership with the VO Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) in Thoothukudi, plans to develop up to 200 KTPA of green ammonia marine bunkering capacity by 2029–30, with an estimated investment of ₹2,000 crore.

On May 28, the two entities signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop VOC Port in Tuticorin as a strategic green ammonia production and bunkering hub.

According to a release, the partnership combines AM Green’s large-scale green ammonia production capabilities with VOCPA’s experience in handling liquid ammonia and its designation as a National Green Hydrogen Hub.

The initiative is expected to support the development of green fuel infrastructure and strengthen India’s emerging green hydrogen and ammonia ecosystem.
