"Amara Raja Infra Completes NTPC’s 90 MW Solar PV Project in Rajasthan"

Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL), a division of the $2 billion Amara Raja Group, has successfully commissioned NTPC’s 90 MW/135 MWp Anta Solar PV Project. Located on a 437-acre site in Anta, Baran District, Rajasthan, this project is notable as India’s first Balance of System (BoS) solar contract awarded by a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) in 2021.

The solar project is expected to generate 213 million units of green energy annually and has been set up at NTPC’s existing gas-fired thermal power station in Anta.

This initiative is a key component of ARIPL’s 2000 MW Solar PV portfolio. It also includes the construction of transmission infrastructure designed to handle over 7500 MW of renewable energy through EHV substations and transmission lines across India.
