Amazon opens biggest delivery station in Telangana.

E-commerce player Amazon.in launched its biggest Delivery Station in Telangana, at Gachibowli in Hyderabad recently.

This will improve its last mile delivery capabilities. With this expansion, Amazon.in now has about 90 own and Delivery Service Partner stations in the State.

“We have a direct delivery presence in more than 500 pin codes of the State,” Prakash Rochlani, Director, Last Mile Transportation of Amazon India, said.

Prakash was here for the launch of the delivery centre on Wednesday. “We have 15 Prime Now nodes in four cities. This service provides deliveries within 2-4 hours,” he said.

Out of the 50 fulfilment centres in 13 States, Amazon operates three centres in Hyderabad with more than 3.2 million cubic ft of storage space.

It has one million sq ft of processing-sorting space in 17 States.

This includes two centres in Hyderabad with one lakh sq ft of processing capacity and 17,000 sellers on its platform.
