"AmpIn Energy and Jupiter International Join Forces for Solar Manufacturing Unit"

In a significant development, AmpIn Energy Transition announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Jupiter International to establish a dedicated joint venture (JV) focused on solar manufacturing. The newly formed collaboration is poised to manufacture high-quality solar cells and modules with a production capacity of up to 1.3 gigawatts, taking advantage of the Indian government's Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) tranche-II scheme.

The PLI initiative aligns with the Indian government's objectives of bolstering domestic manufacturing capabilities, mitigating global supply chain disruptions, and reducing India's reliance on solar imports. As AmpIn Energy ventures into the manufacturing domain, it seeks to enhance its control over the supply chain for critical components. The demand for solar cells produced in India remains robust, and as favorable policies take root, production costs are expected to decrease, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the industry.

Jupiter International brings to the table an already established 800-megawatt solar cell manufacturing stronghold located in Himachal Pradesh. With over 15 years of experience in the field, the company boasts a heritage of manufacturing high-efficiency solar cells to global standards, demonstrating a consistent commitment to technological advancements and manufacturing excellence.

This strategic alliance is positioned to leverage Jupiter's extensive expertise and AmpIn's unwavering dedication to delivering cost-effective renewable power solutions to its clientele. As per the terms of the joint venture, the manufactured modules will be utilized locally by AmpIn and also supplied to third-party developers, thereby fueling both domestic and export growth within India's burgeoning renewable energy sector. This partnership holds the potential to not only bolster the renewable energy landscape in India but also contribute to its global competitiveness in the solar manufacturing arena.
