AMPIN Energy Transition announced on recently that it has strengthened its partnership with Varroc Group by signing a transaction document for an additional 27 megawatt peak (MWp) solar power project in Maharashtra. This order comes on the heels of the successful and timely implementation of AMPIN's initial solar projects across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, marking a significant advancement in their collaborative efforts towards a sustainable future.
This new power purchase agreement (PPA) represents a repeat order from Varroc Group, underscoring their ongoing trust and satisfaction with AMPIN’s renewable energy solutions. With this additional capacity, Varroc's total contracted solar capacity with AMPIN now exceeds 60 MWp, enabling Varroc Group to fulfill approximately 70% of its energy requirements through clean, renewable sources.
The transition to solar energy is projected to yield substantial cost savings, with an estimated 45% reduction in energy costs across Varroc's manufacturing plants in Maharashtra. The 27 MWp solar project will also enhance Varroc Group's commitment to sustainability by mitigating approximately 35,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
This installation is expected to significantly impact clean energy delivery and bolster Varroc’s position as a leader in environmental stewardship within the manufacturing sector. AMPIN Energy continues to solidify its leadership role in Maharashtra’s renewable energy landscape, leveraging its state-of-the-art Solar Park to drive the energy transition and become a preferred renewable energy partner for its clients.
The project aligns with Maharashtra’s broader energy objectives and supports the state’s commitment to increasing the adoption of renewable energy sources.
