PM Modi to Launch ₹4,800 Crore Development Projects in Gujarat on October 28.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects exceeding ₹4,800 crore in Gujarat's Amreli district on October 28. These initiatives encompass nearly 1,600 projects across several districts, including Amreli, Jamnagar, Morbi, Devbhumi Dwarka, Junagadh, Porbandar, Kutch, and Botad, aiming to enhance infrastructure and water supply in the region.

Among the key initiatives is a ₹705 crore water supply project under the Gujarat Water Supply Department. PM Modi will inaugurate the Bharat Mata Sarovar, a newly constructed reservoir on the Gagadio River in Amreli, built at a cost of ₹35 crore. Additionally, he will lay the foundation for 1,000 water recharge initiatives, including pit, borewell, and well recharge systems valued at ₹20 crore, while inaugurating 590 completed water projects.

In the transportation sector, PM Modi will unveil and initiate National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects valued at over ₹2,800 crore, significantly improving highway connectivity in Gujarat. He will also inaugurate the Bhuj-Naliya gauge conversion project in the railways, valued at ₹1,094 crore, to bolster rail connectivity in the region.

Notable water supply projects set for inauguration on October 28 include the Navda-to-Chavand bulk pipeline for Botad district, designed to meet the daily water supply needs of approximately 67 lakh people across 1,298 villages and 36 cities in Botad, Amreli, Junagadh, Rajkot, and Porbandar. This project aims to deliver an additional 28 crore liters of water daily to the area.

The Bharat Mata Sarovar, located near Het Ki Haveli in Dudhala, Lathi, is one of the highlighted projects. Developed through a public-private partnership with the Dholakia Foundation, the reservoir has been enhanced to store an additional 2 crore liters of water, bringing its total capacity to 4.5 crore liters through deepening and strengthening measures.
