Anantara Opens New Luxury Island Resort in Doha.

Anantara has announced the development of the Banana Island Resort in Doha, Qatar.

The resort will be developed by Al Rayyan Hospitality and will be located on a Qatari crescent shaped island in the Arabian Gulf.

The resort will have of 141 luxury guest rooms offering a range of sea view rooms with some featuring a personal pool. The property will also be equipped with a marina that has 30 berths along with a dive center and a two lane surf pool.

In addition, the resort will have recreational facilities such as a fitness center, an entertainment center with a golf course, bowling alley and a VIP cinema theatre. The island resort has eight restaurants with multiple cuisines.

The Banana Island Resort Doha is part of an expansion strategy underlined by Anantara, which aims to open 50 new properties by 2015.
