Andhra Pradesh Approves 75% Incentive Package for BPCL’s ₹96,000 Crore Refinery Project.

The Andhra Pradesh government has granted in-principle approval to extend financial incentives covering 75 percent of the capital expenditure to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) for its proposed Greenfield Refinery cum Petrochemical Complex in the state.

BPCL had announced in August its plans to establish a refinery and petrochemical complex with a capacity of approximately 9-12 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA), involving an estimated investment of around ₹96,000 crore.

As per the state government order, BPCL will receive a capital subsidy amounting to 43.5 percent disbursed over 15 instalments. Additionally, the corporation will benefit from a 100 percent Goods and Services Tax (GST) refund during the operational phase, reimbursement of State GST (SGST) and the state’s share of Integrated GST (IGST) and Central GST (CGST) during construction, along with a complete waiver of stamp duty and registration fees.
