Areva T&D India bags contract from Power Grid Corporation on India

Areva T&D has bagged contracts worth Rs. 200 crore from Power Grid Corporation on India (PGCIL) for supply, erection and commissioning of a 765kv extra high voltage substation including transformer at Bareily in Uttar Pradesh.

The 765kv transformer for this substation will be delivered from Areva T&D India's world class factory located at Vadodara which was set up in India to meet the future needs of the country as transmission voltage levels move to extra of ultra high voltage levels (up to 1200 kv). All other world class 765 products for the substation will be delivered from Areva T&D India's manufacturing facilities located at Padappai (Chennai), Pallavaram (Chennai), Hosur (Tamilnadu) and Noida.
