Healthcare provider Aster DM has announced a ₹125 crore development project in Kottakkal, Kerala, marking one of the largest private healthcare investments in the region.
The project will upgrade the existing facility into a 500-bed multispecialty hospital, starting with an immediate addition of 200 beds. A key feature of the expansion is the creation of a 100-bed Aster International Institute of Oncology to address the rising incidence of cancer in the Malabar region. The plan also includes a new free dialysis centre in Malappuram district, which has the highest number of kidney patients in Kerala.
The announcement was made during the 15th anniversary celebrations of Aster MIMS Kottakkal.
