Athulya Senior Care set to launch its own geriatric care hospital, charts expansion plans.

Athulya Senior Care is preparing to expand into full-spectrum geriatric healthcare with the launch of its own hospital in Chennai, alongside a planned fundraise of around $30 million to support its growth strategy.

The company, which currently operates in assisted living and home care services, will enter the hospital segment with a fully integrated geriatric care facility set to open in Vadapalani, Chennai, in June. The move marks a significant step in its effort to build a comprehensive senior care ecosystem.

Karthik Narayan, Founder and Managing Director of Athulya Senior Care, said in an interaction that the company plans to approach the market for funding in about three months and expects the round to advance its path toward a potential listing. He added that the company is likely to attract global institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, given their focus on social impact investments such as senior care.

The upcoming fundraise follows an earlier capital infusion of around ₹100 crore from a Morgan Stanley-managed private equity fund in 2023.
