Australian Co To Set Up Steel Industry in TS.
Australia-based NSL mining company, which converts low grade iron ore into high grade, is keen on setting up a steel industry in Telangana. A team from Australia called on industries minister Jupally Krishna Rao at the Secretariat here on Wednesday. The Australian delegation was led by Australian Consul-General to south India Sean Kelly.
The Australian delegation evinced interest in bringing investments to Telangana. They informed that the state has become a important destination and with lot of opportunities for companies to open their shops.
The Australian delegation said they were looking into vocational education, mining, environment, infrastructure, road safety and transportation, technology and start-ups. They also told that they were interested to promote bio-technology and life sciences.The delegation informed Krishna Rao that the Australia Retail College was interested to explore the possibility of starting skill development centres in the state.
There were around 3,000 skill development centres in Australia and they are keen to open them in Telangana.
Meanwhile, Malaysian giant Spritzer BHD, the largest bottled water producer in Malaysia, represented by Kenny Lim Seng Lee, group general manager Jo-Ann Chang also called on the industries minister along with a delegation and expressed interest in setting up their project in Telangana.
