Avesthagen and Apollo AyurVAID Partner to Develop Scientifically-Validated Dietary Supplements

Avesthagen Ltd and Apollo AyurVAID, a division of Kerala First Health Services Private Ltd under the Apollo Hospitals Group, have announced a strategic partnership to develop scientifically validated medical foods and dietary supplements.

These new products, branded as “AvestaAyurVAID,” will combine medical nutrition with Ayurvedic principles, targeting specific dietary needs for managing various diseases and conditions. The focus will be on chronic ailments like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, weight management, and metabolic disorders, as well as onco-nutrition, immunity enhancement, cognitive health, and mental well-being.

The collaboration will ensure rigorous scientific and clinical validation to maintain high safety and efficacy standards. Rajiv Vasudevan, Managing Director and CEO of Apollo AyurVAID, highlighted the partnership as a unique fusion of Ayurvedic precision with biotechnology, systems biology, and nutrigenomics, leading to personalized health solutions powered by botanical bioactives.

Avesthagen’s subsidiaries, Avesta Nordic Research Pvt. Ltd. and Avesta Good Earth Foods Pvt. Ltd., will handle product manufacturing, while Apollo AyurVAID will manage marketing efforts. Product development will be a joint venture between the two organizations.
