Avio Smart Market Stack, Tripura Govt Sign MoU to Develop Freeze-Drying Plant

Avio Smart Market Stack Limited (ASMS), formerly known as Bartronics India Limited, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tripura to establish a freeze-drying facility for fresh fruits and vegetables in the state.

The project, titled “A Freeze-Drying Initiative on Fruits and Vegetables for Tripura”, is expected to create around 500 direct jobs and an additional 800 indirect employment opportunities, taking the total projected employment generation to nearly 1,300.

The MoU was signed during the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, organised by the state’s Department of Industries and Commerce.

As part of the event, Dr Raja Krishna Murthy M, Head of Agri Tech Business at ASMS, met Tripura Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha, who appreciated the company’s proposed initiative, according to the company.

The freeze-drying facility is aimed at supporting value addition in the state’s agricultural produce while creating new opportunities in food processing and allied sectors.
