BAI Announces ₹5,500 Crore Investment in UP Beer Sector by 2029.

The brewing industry plans to invest around ₹5,500 crore in Uttar Pradesh over the next three years, focusing on setting up greenfield units and ancillary facilities, the Brewers’ Association of India (BAI) said.

BAI described the move as the industry “betting big” on Uttar Pradesh, citing the state government’s recently announced excise policy as a major incentive. The association called the policy “progressive” with a “well-balanced approach” to fostering industry growth.

BAI Director General Vinod Giri said, “The beer industry and its ancillary industries will be investing ₹5,500 crore in the next three years,” underscoring the sector’s confidence in the state’s business environment.

The planned investment is expected to boost local manufacturing, create jobs, and strengthen the supply chain for the beer and allied industries in the region.
