BEL Secures ₹634 Crore in New Orders.

Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured fresh orders worth ₹634 crore, adding to its growing list of contracts this financial year. This new acquisition follows ₹500 crore in orders announced just two days prior, bringing BEL’s total order intake to over ₹8,000 crore for FY24, according to its latest exchange filing.

The recent orders encompass the maintenance of Akash missile systems, the supply of EMI shelters, communication equipment, telescope sights for guns, radar spare parts, and jammers. As of October 1, 2024, BEL’s cumulative order book stood at ₹74,595 crore.

BEL is on track to achieve its ambitious target of ₹25,000 crore for FY 2024-25, driven by expectations of high-value contracts. These include ₹2,500 crore for the Ashwini Radar project, ₹2,000 crore for the Electronic Warfare suite for MI-17 helicopters, and ₹2,000 crore for Shakti Phase IV.

In addition to its domestic contracts, BEL continues to make strides internationally. In July 2024, the company reported an export order worth €25.75 million (approximately ₹230 crore) from Thales Reliance Defence System for the manufacture and supply of transmit-receive modules.

BEL’s robust pipeline highlights its focus on the design, development, and supply of advanced products and systems, catering to both defence and non-defence applications, positioning the company for sustained growth in the coming quarters.
