BGR Energy chooses Areva for Mettur TPS project

New Delhi: Areva T&D India said it has been chosen as the preferred partner for supplying Gas Insulated Substation package for the Mettur Thermal Power Project of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.

'AREVA T&D has been chosen by BGR Energy as the preferred partner for 420 kV and 230 kV Gas Insulated Substation package for Mettur TPS of TNEB,'' a company statement said.

The Rs 101 crore order comprises design, engineering, manufacturing, supply and other associated activities the Gas Insulated Substation and Gas Insulated Lines.

The equipment would be delivered in fourth quarter of 2009.
