BHEL gets supply order from GVK
New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) said it has bagged a Rs 1,155 crore order from GVK Power for supplying and installing equipments at a power project in Punjab.
'BHEL has won a Rs 1,155-crore contract from GVK Power for setting up 2x270 MW electricity generating units at Goindwal Sahib thermal power project in Punjab,' a company release said.
The company's scope of work in the project includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of steam turbines, generators, boilers and associated auxiliaries.
Boilers and its auxiliaries would be manufactured at the company's Tiruchirapalli plant, while generators and turbines at the Haridwar plant, while the pumps and heat exchangers would be manufactured at its Hyderabad unit and electricals at the Bhopal unit.
