BHEL-HPVP to make modules for power plant.

BHEL-HPVP will make the modules for a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) in Karnataka being taken up on EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis by the BHEL.

BHEL has bagged the prestigious contract for setting up the plant involving supply and commissioning of a fuel-efficient, state-of-the-art Advanced-class Gas Turbine.

Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has placed the Rs. 1,202 crore order for the 370 MW Gas Turbine-based CCPP, the first gas-based Utility Power Project of KPCL, to be installed at Yelahanka on the outskirts of Bengaluru city, says a statement issued by BHEL.

The modules cost Rs. 55 crore.

Other key equipment for the contract will be manufactured at BHEL's Hyderabad, Trichy, Haridwar, Bhopal and Jhansi plants.
