BHEL Secures ₹20,000–28,000 Crore Orders from Adani Power for 6,400 MW Thermal Projects
New Delhi | November 4, 2026
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received major orders worth an estimated ₹20,000–28,000 crore from Adani Power Limited for four thermal power projects with a combined generation capacity of 6,400 MW.
Each project will comprise two 800 MW generating units, with individual contract values ranging between ₹5,000 crore and ₹7,000 crore, excluding GST.
The contracts cover the supply of boilers, turbines, generators, associated auxiliary equipment and related services required for establishing the thermal power facilities.
The orders, disclosed on November 4, 2026, represent a significant addition to BHEL’s power sector order book and strengthen its position in India's thermal power equipment market.
The developments are expected to generate substantial opportunities for engineering companies, equipment manufacturers, component suppliers and construction contractors.
The combined contract value represents BHEL's awarded equipment and services scope rather than the total capital investment in the four power projects.
