BITS-Pilani Hyderabad in Rs. 400-cr expansion mode.

BITS-Pilani-Hyderabad will soon start its second phase of expansion with Rs. 400-crore investment.

'The first phase of our campus will be completed in about two months from now when work on the auditorium with 2,550 seats gets over. We have already hired an architect and plans have been drawn for the second phase of construction,' Director VS Rao told Business Line recently.

New academic blocks, housing units for students and faculty, among others, would be taken up as part of the expansion project. The funds were mobilised through internal accruals and bank loans, Rao said. So far, Rs. 320 crore has been invested on the Hyderabad campus.
