Consumer electronics and electrical giant V-Guard Industries Ltd has announced its ambitious goal of achieving double-digit growth in its Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) fan segment within the next three years. This strategic move comes as the BLDC fan market in India experiences a robust growth trajectory.

According to Mithun Chittilappilly, Managing Director of V-Guard, the current market size for BLDC fans is estimated at ₹3,000 crore, boasting an impressive Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 20-25 percent. While V-Guard entered this category relatively late, Mr. Chittilappilly highlighted the company's significant progress over the past decade, currently holding a 6-7 percent market share.

Speaking to businessline during the launch of V-Guard's latest range of BLDC ceiling fans, he stated, "Our aim is to become one of the top 3-4 brands in the next few years." This declaration underscores V-Guard's confidence in capturing a larger slice of the rapidly expanding BLDC fan market, driven by increasing consumer awareness of energy efficiency and the long-term cost benefits of these fans.

The company's focus on BLDC technology aligns with the growing demand for energy-saving appliances. BLDC fans consume significantly less power compared to traditional induction motor fans, making them an attractive option for environmentally conscious consumers and those seeking to reduce their electricity bills.
