Blue Star to finalise south plant location soon.

Blue Star is contemplating establishing a new manufacturing unit either in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka soon as the leading air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration firm seeks to create an additional capacity for post-2015 demand scenario as also save on logistics cost.

While the company has not yet finalised the location, investment and capacity for the proposed Greenfield venture, it has shortlisted TN and Karnataka for locating the project. But it is learnt that it would entail an investment of about Rs. 150 crore to set up a plant with an half a million capacity.
