Bondada Engineering has secured a major engineering, procurement and construction order valued at ₹1,153.93 crore, including taxes, for the development of 270 MWp of ground-mounted solar photovoltaic capacity across multiple locations in Maharashtra.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic renewable-energy project entity and is expected to be executed within six months, indicating a relatively fast implementation schedule for the planned solar installations.
Under the EPC scope, Bondada Engineering is expected to undertake engineering, procurement, construction and related activities required for delivering the solar projects. The order strengthens the company’s position in India’s fast-growing renewable-energy infrastructure market and adds substantially to its project execution pipeline.
The 270 MWp capacity is expected to contribute to Maharashtra’s expanding renewable-energy portfolio as the state continues to attract investment in utility-scale solar generation and associated power infrastructure.
The project could also generate significant opportunities for equipment manufacturers and suppliers involved in solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling, substations and balance-of-plant systems. Civil works, logistics, installation services, testing and commissioning are also likely to form important parts of the execution programme.
However, the reported ₹1,153.93 crore represents the EPC contract value and should not automatically be interpreted as the total investment cost of the underlying solar projects unless separately confirmed by the developer.
With a six-month execution timeline, procurement and construction activity is expected to move quickly, making the award a notable near-term opportunity for suppliers and subcontractors serving India’s solar EPC market.
