Borana Weaves Strengthens Operations Through Renewable Energy and Capacity Boost.

Borana Weaves Ltd, a leading producer of synthetic greige fabric in India, has achieved key operational milestones, including the commissioning of a 3.545 MW rooftop solar power project and the full operationalization of 160 high-speed water jet looms at its Unit 4B.

The solar project, now fully functional across the company’s manufacturing units, is expected to reduce reliance on conventional power sources, lower energy costs, and improve operating margins. The integration of renewable energy also reinforces Borana Weaves’ commitment to sustainability and long-term cost stability.

On the production side, the complete deployment of all 160 water jet looms marks a major capacity expansion. Earlier, only 64 looms were operational. With the full complement now running at Unit 4B, the company anticipates:




  • Substantial increase in output capacity

  • Improved operational efficiency and asset utilization

  • Faster turnaround and stronger order execution

  • Revenue growth through higher production volumes
