"Brookfield Asset Management to Pump ₹1 Lakh Crore into Andhra Pradesh"

Global investment firm Brookfield Asset Management has announced a massive investment of $12 billion (₹1.1 lakh crore) in Andhra Pradesh, targeting renewable energy, battery and pumped storage projects, solar manufacturing, and other decarbonization initiatives.

In addition to green energy, Brookfield will also invest in a range of other sectors, including data centers, commercial real estate, global capability centers (GCCs), infrastructure, and ports.

Speaking at the CII Partnership Summit 2025 on Friday, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh said, “This marquee investment will reinforce Andhra Pradesh’s position as a leading destination for sustainable and transformative investments not just in India but globally.”

The investment is expected to strengthen the state’s infrastructure, accelerate its renewable energy ambitions, and create significant employment opportunities, further positioning Andhra Pradesh as a hub for innovation and sustainable growth.
