Cancer hospital ties up with Portea.

Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Research Hospital has signed an agreement with Portea Medical (www.portea.com), a home healthcare company, to offer therapy services and palliative care treatment to cancer patients at their homes.

Portea Medical would also offer therapies to take care of side effects of chemotherapy and procedures such as tracheotomy, a hospital executive said recently.

'In addition, Portea Medical clinicians will assist the patients in bathing and grooming. Their team would work with specialists from the Basavatarakam hospital doctors,' he said.
