CCI approves Rs 9,260 crore road projects in six states

The government approved eight road projects in six states, entailing Rs 9,620 crore investment, under its flagship road building programme National Highways Development Project (NHDP).
The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI) cleared the projects for widening of existing highways in Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Rajasthan on design, build, operate, finance and transfer basis ( DBOFT) on BOT toll mode under NHDP phases II, III, IV and V.
The details of approved projects as follows:
Six laning of Chandikhole - Paradeep section on NH 5A in Orissa
Six laning of Gundugolanu - Rajahmundry section on NH 5 in Andhra Pradesh
Four laning of Ghaghar Bridge (Indo Nepal Border) - Varanasi section on NH 233 in Uttar Pradesh
Four laning of Sultanpur - Varanasi section on NH 56 in Uttar Pradesh
Four laning of Hoskote - Dobbaspet section on NH 207 in Karnataka
Four laning of Solapur - Bijapur section on NH 13 in Maharashtra and Karnataka
Development and operation of Sikar - Bikaner Section of NH 11 in Rajasthan
Development and operation of Zirakpur - Patiala Section of NH 64 in Punjab
