CDC to buy Rs. 200-crore stake in Pristine Logistics.
CDC Group will purchase a significant minority stake in UTI Capital backed unlisted freight terminal maker Pristine Logistics and Infrastructure for Rs. 200 crore, the third direct investment by the British fund in India, two people with direct knowledge of the development said.
The fund typically prefers to invest in private equity funds as investor, known as limited partners in industry parlance.
'The company will use the money to construct private freight terminals (PFT) in trade-heavy belts such as Indore, Ludhiana and Patna,' one of the two persons said. Railways allow every PFT to handle various types of goods for the railways, roads and various valueadded services.
