chargeMOD Partners with A Plus Charge to Establish EV Charging Stations in North East India

Energy tech start-up chargeMOD, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Guwahati-based A Plus Charge to establish over 1,000 new EV charging stations across North East India. The expansion will bring chargeMOD's total network to 4,200 chargers nationwide, with 2,000 already in operation and 1,200 recently announced charging stations.

The collaboration between chargeMOD and A Plus Charge aims to significantly improve EV charging accessibility in the North East, a region with high potential for electric vehicle adoption. M Ramanunni, CEO and Co-Founder of chargeMOD, emphasized that the partnership aligns with the broader goal of creating a cleaner and more sustainable transportation future. "Our collaboration will not only benefit drivers but also contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable transportation future for the region," he said.

chargeMOD, established in 2019 and incubated under the Kerala Startup Mission, has a growing network of over 2,300 charging stations across 10 states. The company holds a strong presence in Kerala, serving as the state's sole public EV charging provider for autos and the first to develop an indigenous mobile app for locating charging stations.

Samyak Jain, CEO of A Plus Charge, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership's potential to drive EV adoption in the North East. "North East holds immense potential for EV adoption, and this partnership is a significant step forward in making it a reality," he noted. Jain also mentioned that they aim to replicate Kerala's success in creating sustainable EV charging infrastructure in the North East.

A Plus Charge, a division of AlternatEV Solutions Private Limited, is leading Assam's transition toward electric mobility by installing EV charging stations in various locations. The company caters to electric cars, rickshaws, and buses, extending its services to public transportation with charging solutions for EV cab fleets and electric buses.

This strategic partnership between chargeMOD and A Plus Charge is expected to play a key role in boosting the adoption of electric vehicles and advancing sustainable transportation solutions in North East India.
