Chennai and Kamarajar Ports to Showcase ₹1.20 Lakh Crore Projects at India Maritime Week 2025.

The upcoming India Maritime Week 2025 (IMW2025), scheduled from October 27 to 31 in Mumbai under the theme Uniting Oceans, One Maritime Vision, is set to catalyse investments worth ₹10 lakh crore across maritime infrastructure, green shipping, port modernization, digital technologies, logistics, and shipbuilding.

Officials from Chennai and Kamarajar ports will attend the event showcasing projects valued at ₹1.20 lakh crore, aimed at attracting private sector investment. These projects include early-stage proposals such as the Northern Rail Link and ongoing initiatives like the Northern Port Access Road, said Sunil Paliwal, Chairperson of both Chennai Port Authority and Kamarajar Port Ltd.

“The IMW2025 will be one of the largest global events for the maritime sector,” Paliwal noted in an interaction with BusinessLine.

The event promises to be a significant platform to drive growth and innovation in India’s maritime industry.
