City to get ₹213 cr. for UGD, storm water drains.

Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu has agreed in-principle to sanction ₹213.86 crore for underground and storm water drainage system in the city as part of smart city project.

Panchayat Raj Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, BJP MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju and TDP MLA V. Ramakrishna Babu, who called on the Union Minister also submitted a representation to him for sanctioning of more funds to develop as a smart city.

Mr. Vishnu Kumar Raju said they also called on Janaki, private secretary to Mr. Naidu, and Sameer Sharma, Additional Secretary, Smart Cities, to discuss the detailed project report on smart city project.
