CleanMax inks $575 million funding deal for 1 GW green energy projects.
CleanMax has raised around $575 million through a mix of domestic and international financing to expand its solar and wind energy portfolio in India.
The funding package includes External Commercial Borrowings (ECB), INR-denominated loans and Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) [FCNR(B)] facilities, arranged with multiple lenders.
The proceeds will be used to develop large-scale renewable energy projects connected to the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) network across Rajasthan and Karnataka, with a combined capacity of around 1 gigawatt (GW).
The financing marks a significant step in CleanMax’s expansion plans as demand for utility-scale renewable energy projects continues to grow in India.
