Coal India Partners with Konkan Railway for Rail Infrastructure Development.

State-owned Coal India Ltd (CIL) has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd to develop crucial rail infrastructure. The partnership aims to improve coal transportation for CIL and its subsidiaries.

The agreement, which was signed recently in Kolkata, is part of CIL's broader strategy to strengthen its logistics network. CIL, which accounts for over 80% of India's domestic coal production, is actively working to enhance its rail infrastructure to improve the efficiency of coal dispatch.
