Cochin Port, Oil India Ink Deal for Offshore Exploration Support Base.

The Cochin Port Authority (CoPA) has officially partnered with Oil India Ltd (OIL) to establish an offshore oil exploration support base in the Kerala-Konkan basin. This collaboration aims to provide crucial logistical assistance for OIL's upcoming drilling operations, slated to begin in late 2025.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by senior officials from both organizations, formalizing the agreement. This strategic alliance is expected to significantly strengthen Cochin Port's role as a vital hub for offshore energy exploration activities in the region.
