Cognizant Opens 600-Strong Techfin Center in GIFT City, Bolstering BFSI Solutions.

Cognizant officially opened a new techfin centre in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) recently, aiming to provide advanced technology solutions to its global clients in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The centre is launching with a 600-strong workforce, a number the company plans to expand significantly in the coming years.

Jatin Dalal, Chief Financial Officer of Cognizant, who was present at the inauguration, stated, "We are starting our GIFT City operations today. We are starting with 600 employees and in the next three years we plan to increase the workforce to 2,000." He added that the centre will primarily serve Cognizant's international BFSI customer base.

To staff the new facility, Cognizant will facilitate the transfer of employees from its other centres. Additionally, the company will conduct both off-campus and on-campus recruitment drives with educational institutions across Gujarat, signaling a commitment to local talent development.
