"Comcast to Establish Global Capability Center in Hyderabad"
US-based media and technology giant Comcast has announced plans to set up a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. The new center will focus on advancing products and solutions in the unified communications sector, enhancing Comcast’s Managed Solutions and Connectivity portfolio.
This decision follows a recent meeting between Telangana’s IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Comcast’s senior leadership, including Executive Vice-President Mel Penna, Chief Technology Officer Rick Riobolli, and Chief Information Officer Mike Crisafulli, during the minister’s visit to the US.
The Chief Minister’s Office noted that Comcast’s interest in Hyderabad could also signal potential opportunities for its parent company, Universal Studios, to engage with Tollywood’s vibrant film industry.
Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, who is traveling with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to the US and South Korea, highlighted that the establishment of Comcast’s GCC in Hyderabad represents a significant milestone for the city’s telecom and media sectors.
