"Concord Control Systems’ Subsidiary Secures ₹56.58 Crore Indian Railways Contract"

Concord Control Systems announced on Friday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Advanced Rail Controls, has won a ₹56.58 crore order from Indian Railways for the supply, installation, and commissioning of locomotive wireless control systems.

The contract covers safety systems used for communication and control in locomotive operations, supporting real-time communication and operational coordination during train movement. With this order, the company’s order book now exceeds ₹450 crore, the firm said in a regulatory filing.

“This order strengthens Concord’s position as a leader in India’s railway technology journey. It reflects the trust Indian Railways has in our capabilities in railway safety and electronic systems, and aligns with the country’s focus on safer and more efficient rail infrastructure,” said Gaurav Lath, Joint Managing Director of Concord Control Systems. “Our focus is on building dependable, India-made technologies that will play a key role in shaping the future of Indian Railways.”

Concord Control Systems is also contributing to Kavach 4.0, India’s automatic train protection system, through its stake in Progota India, as part of Indian Railways’ ongoing safety modernisation programme.

Earlier this week, Advanced Rail Controls secured another order from Indian Railways valued at ₹139.32 crore for a similar locomotive wireless control system, further expanding the company’s footprint in the railway technology segment.
